HAFA workshop

The Houston Area Fiber Artists has a few spots available in an upcoming workshop and asked that I share the following information:

Houston Area Fiber Artists Workshop
Presenter: Sherrill Kahn
Date and Time: Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 from 10AM to 4PM

Sherrill will teach mixed media, which includes painting, stamping, weaving and collage techniques.

Location will be at the HEB Community Room at Interstate 10 and Bunker Hill, 9710 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77055.   They have a deli and microwave so our lunch is easy if you don't bring your own.

Cost is $195 per person for the 2 day workshop (This includes a HAFA membership!).   A supply list will be sent to those who take the class.

Sherrill's website is impressmenow.com. Go there and see what all she does and teaches and the several books she has published. She will have a brand new book available in April along with the stamps that she designs and sells.

Austin/San Antonio Circle Meeting and an invitation

The next Austin/San Antonio SAQA Circle Meeting is Saturday, March 2 from 10:30 am to ???. Our hostess is Vou Best.  A lite cold lunch will be provided.  Keep reading for information  on our March program. Also included in this month's update is an invitation to the SAQA "This Is A Quilt" trunk show hosted by Quilting Adventures at the T Bar M Resort in New Braunfels on March 7 and March 14. All the details as well as a link where you can download driving directions to T Bar M are  included in the invitation below. Please don't hesitate to pass this invitation along to your quilt-y friends, quilt guild, fiber art group, or anyone who will enjoy seeing these wonderful works of art.
