8:30 am – 4:30 pm each day
Texas Tech Museum in the Klein Room
Day 1 - Using Value to Improve Quilts
Day 2 - Improving your Composition skills to make better Art Quilts
Cost is $180 for the two day class including the kit

The workshop will be held at the Texas Tech Museum in conjunction with an exhibit of quilts from the Texas Tech collection from January 15 - May 15.  The Caprock Art Quilters will also have a display at the Museum during this time.

Their regular SAQA Circle meeting will be on Saturday, February 13, so plan to make it a long weekend, visit their meeting and see what this awesome group of very active art quilters is up to!

Houston circle meeting - Jan 9th 2016

Dear SAQA Texas – Houston Area Members:
Mark your calendars for our next Houston meeting - Jan 9th. Everyone is invited to attend.

Agenda
1.     Extended Show & Tell – Please bring your current project --- finished or unfinished is okay. Share information on how (or why) you made the piece and any tips or techniques you used, or where you got your inspiration. Everyone is invited to ask questions or offer positive feedback.
2.     Lunch --- Bring your lunch. There is a microwave provided in the room.
3.     After lunch, Suzan Engler and Annie Smith will lead a fun creativity exercise! You will make a hand-drawn mandala or zentangle.  Drawing skills are not needed!  Please bring a pencil, marker, and maybe colored pencils or crayons.  The paper will be provided.  We will explore ways to use the drawings as the inspiration for future art work.

Central Texas Circle Meeting Reminder

The meeting will start at 10 am with introductions and show & tell. A light lunch of Soup and Build-Your-Own-Salad will be served, along with tea, coffee, and some form of Crystal Light. Feel free to bring other beverages. Please bring a dessert for everyone to share.

The SAQA Central Texas Circle meets on the 2nd Saturday of every other month beginning in January.
